Privacy Policy

Next Inning ("the App") is owned and operated by EMJAY747 Enterprises LLC. We collect as little as we can to make the App work, we don't sell or share your data, and we don't run ads. Here are the specifics.
What we collect
- Your email address. Your sign-in identifier and where we send the 8-digit code that signs you in.
- Team data you enter. Roster names, jersey numbers, position preferences, games, fielding plans, lineups, notes, scores, and stats, scoped to your team and the assistant coaches you invite.
- Team chat messages. Messages you send to the other coaches on your team, stored so the chat works and shown only to your team's coaches.
- Field locations you save. Field names and coordinates you enter or pick on the map, used only to fetch a weather forecast for that field.
- Referral invites you create. If you invite another coach, we store the code, the label you typed for your own reference (for example "Dave from the Wildcats"), and whether it was used. That label is visible only to you. We never show it to the person you invited, we do not use it to identify or contact them, and it is deleted when your account is deleted.
- Basic device information. Device type, OS version, and app version, captured incidentally through normal use.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect your phone's location in the background. The map picker uses your location only when you tap "Use my location", and that value drops a pin; it is not stored on our servers.
- We do not run third-party analytics SDKs that track you across apps.
- We do not show ads or collect data for advertising.
- We do not contact the people you name in a referral invite. The label you type is a note to yourself; it is not an email address, we do not message anyone on your behalf, and creating an invite sends nothing to anybody.
- We do not collect personal information from children directly. The App is for coaches, and the player names you enter are part of your team management.
How we store and protect your data
Your data is stored with a third-party cloud database provider, with row-level security policies that scope every row to your team. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Most of the App works offline: data is held in a local database on your device and synced to our servers when you are online and signed in. Signing out clears the App's local copy of your data from that device. If a data breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
Third-party services
We use a small set of trusted providers to run the App. None of them receive your data for advertising or profiling.
- Cloud database and authentication — stores team data; processes your sign-in code.
- Transactional email — delivers the sign-in code and routes feedback you send.
- Bot protection on the sign-in screen — checks that a sign-in request comes from a person rather than an automated script. Sets no tracking cookies and does not follow you across apps or sites.
- Weather — receives a saved field's latitude and longitude, not your identity.
- Maps (Android only) — renders the field map picker.
- Apple and Google, for optional sign-in — only if you choose Sign in with Apple or Continue with Google. They tell us a stable account identifier and, unless you hide it, your email address. We never receive your password. Subject to their respective privacy policies.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — distribute the App; subject to their privacy policies.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not share your team data with third parties except as needed to operate the App (for example, with our cloud database provider to store it). Assistant coaches you invite see the team data you intentionally share with them. We will disclose data only if required by law (for example, a valid subpoena) or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for adult coaches managing youth teams. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. Player information entered by a coach (name, jersey number, position notes) is treated as the coach's team-management data and is visible only to that team's coaches.
Coaches who enter player information confirm, under our Terms of Service, that they have the authority and any necessary parental or guardian permission to do so. The coach controls that information and can remove it at any time. If you are a parent or guardian and want a player's information removed, ask the coach to delete the player from the roster, or email us below.
Your rights
- Access your data: it is visible inside the App.
- Correct it: edit any team, player, or game record at any time.
- Delete it: remove players, games, or teams individually, or delete your entire account from Settings. See how to delete your account for full steps.
- Export it: the Fairness PDF is exportable from the Stats screen.
California residents
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access or delete it, to correct it, and to know that we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. To exercise these rights, email support@nextinning.app. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we remove your team data from our active systems promptly and from backups within 30 days, except for records we are required to keep (for example, for legal or accounting reasons).
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by email before they take effect, and revise the date above.
